چکیده
space-time adaptive processing is used for clutter mitigation in airborne radars. in this paper, deterministic clutter subspace and direct data domain methods are introduced due to the fact that space-time adaptive processing algorithm requires estimating covariance matrix, limited training data and high complexity in processing. in first proposed method, filter coefficients are calculated by estimating airborne radar parameters and also calculating of interference matrix. the sensitivity of estimated parameter is also calculated. by extending clutter subspace, the proposed method could be get more robust against parameter estimation. in other proposed method, direct data domain is used for calculating coefficients vector. finally, tried to improve the performance of our proposed algorithms by utilizing other methods such as using more taps and deterministic clutter subspace.

Clutter mitigation techniques for space-based radar
The mission of a ground moving target indication (GMTI) radar, as its name implies, is to detect and classify ground-based vehicles, even ones with very low velocities. This type of radar can provide a wide area of coverage and frequent updates of a specific area of interest if the radar is placed on a satellite with a low earth orbit. However, because of the large footprint of the radar on the...
متن کاملAirborne Radar STAP using Sparse Recovery of Clutter Spectrum
Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is an effective tool for detecting a moving target in spaceborne or airborne radar systems. Statistical-based STAP methods generally need sufficient statistically independent and identically distributed (IID) training data to estimate the clutter characteristics. However, most actual clutter scenarios appear only locally stationary and lack sufficient IID t...

Due to the fast-changing clutter scenario a...

Coastal UHF radar provides a unique capability to measure the sea surface dynamic parameters and detect small moving targets, by exploiting the low energy loss of electromagnetic waves propagating along the salty and good conducting ocean surface. It could compensate the blind zone of HF surface wave radar at close range and reach further distance than microwave radars. However, its performance...
متن کاملRadar Signal Detection in K-distributed Clutter by Pade Approximation
In this paper, two suboptimum detectors are proposed for coherent radar signal detection in K-distributed clutter. Assuming certain values for several initial moments of clutter amplitude, the characteristic function of the clutter amplitude is approximated by a limited series. Using the Pade approximation, it is then converted to a rational fraction. Thus, the pdf of the clutter amplitude is o...

Subspace approaches have become popular in the last two decades for retrieving constant amplitude harmonics observed in white additive noise because they may exhibit superior resolution over the FFT-based methods, especially with short data records and closely spaced harmonics. We demonstrate here that MUSIC and ESPRIT methods can also be applied when the harmonics are corrupted by white or wid...
